Abstract
Nowadays people have smartphones and other mobile devices with them wherever they go. People use it example for calling, as calendar and organizer. The main idea of this project is to design a system that will run on most of phones and palms and will be helpful when planning to visit or visiting some new places and cities. There are several problems that might look simple but can be a serious problem if we neglect it. Everyone dream of having a smooth and trouble-free vacation for a sweet escape from stress and daily busy life for every once in a while. However, people usually facing the problem of having hard times in finding the public facilities and public transportation. This system should be able to show user the nearest spot near them. It should also be able to estimate time needed to travel from one object to the next. It should be helpful for people that want to visit a city without having much information about it. Paths that are output of this system are only a proposition for trip. In this project Firefly Algorithm the distance between users’ location and the tourist spot. The scope is to provide an information and suggestion on the places that the tourist will be visiting. The expected outcome is tourist can have their own tour guide using their mobile phone or any mobile devices. |
Project Background
The purpose of developing this system is to perform a survey, collect users’ assessment and evaluation. By performing these actions, it is actually will assist the end user which in this case will be the traveler, to make decision when planning for a journey or taking a trip and help them to see a clearer view of the places that they wanted to visit. Furthermore, it is an alternative to some of the matters of arising and enhanced by the users’ requirements, the Intelligent Tourist Guide System(ITGS) is developed to be travelers’ private guide.
First of all, from this proposed system, the user will be able to browse and choose the venue beforehand without having to visit it first. Normally people get confused while planning for a holiday. To begin with, they hardly know places where they can spend a good time. Furthermore, there comes the money constraint. This system is the solution for all these issues. All the end users has to do is answer some questionnaire.
Additional to that, it will provide three best options that fits with users It will do them the favor of saving their money and time in finding and consulting a travel agency where they will probably end up have to pay for their services.
For this system, users will have to input the information about the places in the search box and the system will list all the nearest attractive places that always become a tourist must-go when visiting that particular place. This system not only help traveler find attractive places but it also maximizes the user experience because it come up with attractive user friendly interface.

- The older system is the websites does not provide the designated information to help user to explore the system.

The main purpose of this system is to provide a user friendly system to help tourist make decisions when planning for a trip. The results shows that user can achieve the tourist spot nearest to their area and can be used to boost the tourism economy in our country.
